OK, I'm sure that we were forewarned about this and there were discussions but suddenly I am faced with ticking the 'I agree' box before I can respond to a booking. I know, I know...it's my own fault for not paying attention and really, what am I going to do? Say no, I don't agree? I'd just like to be reminded of the major changes if anyone has a link to previous discussions. Many thanks.

So, I have an impending booking request. I can't approve it until I agree to the new Terms. I'm just going to agree without reading them all. And then I will have visions of Airbnb collecting my vital organs/first born child/house and all contents if I do some unspecified 'within our discretion' wrong. But I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. Surely these changes must have been notified and discussed at some point?

There were new terms rolled out but it wasn't that recently....I don't recall exactly when it was...maybe they rolled out the information on them a while back, but only now got around to requiring agreement to them? Yes I think that is it. These terms were rolled out some time ago but they gave us some time to read them before the date where they would require us to agree. I just did a search and found out that yes, this is the case. Here is a page on the changes information: www.airbnb.com/home/terms-of-service-eventTerms: www.airbnb.com/termsHow very intriguing! I just discovered, by looking at this, that the new terms involve a waiver of user's right to engage in a class action lawsuit! No wonder Greg Selden (See this post globalhosting.freeforums.net/thread/2222/civil-rights-allows-discrimination-airbnb ) rushed to file his class action suit before today! I thought he surely did that with lightning speed -- this is why!!

I had to agree to the terms this morning before updating my calendar. I read through them and noticed this: "GOT FEEDBACK? Your opinion matters to us! If you’d like to provide feedback to us about this Privacy Policy, please email us at <!--</p> <p>h='aribnb.com';a='@';n='terms';e=n+a+h;</p> <p>document.write('<a h'+'ref'+'="ma'+'ilto'+':'+e+'" clas'+'s="em' + 'ail">'+e+'<\/'+'a'+'>');</p> <p>// --> terms at aribnb dot com. " Found it hilarious that through all the text they couldn't input their own email properly, it's in html code from what I see!! It would be kind of difficult sending an e-mail to that address!! And they typed airbnb dot com at the end wrong!! Lol!!
