Hi Lynda, thanks for the heads up. I just listed my place in Phoenix, and definitely want to stay compliant. What does a tax license actually mean, and where would a good place for me to get more info on this?

I'm a tax attorney. Listing on AirBNB doesn't make you a "business" any more than selling your used car on Craigslist makes you a car dealership. Reporting your AirbBNB income on your income tax return is probably wise -- but as for a license, I would tell the local yokels to pound salt.

Thanks Christopher! Question if you don't mind though; I originally licensed because I was not using my home as my primary residence, but now that I have moved back into it and more "home sharing" than renting...safe to cancel the license?
