Is scoping Airbnb and several other vacation rental sites and looking for tax licenses. I was contacted by an auditor today, because my tax license was just filed within the last 60 days and their system was not updated. Like 1 like Christopher Christopher2 years ago I'm a tax attorney. Listing on AirBNB doesn't make you a "business" any more than selling your used car on Craigslist makes you a car dealership. Reporting your AirbBNB income on your income tax return is probably wise -- but as for a license, I would tell the local yokels to pound salt.
