Hello all. I just had a request for July which is 5 months out from now and my available settings are to accept reservations 6 months out. They got a message from Airbnb that the July date was not available. Why would this be and how do I get hold of Airbnb to correct the problem? I did pre-approve the guest and he is going to try again to reserve. Thanks!

HI Sus I am not sure why that happened, unless the reservation itself extended beyond the 6 month mark....have you gone to your calendar to make sure that there are no dates that happen to be blocked out there that you didn't know about?
Often if a guest is having a problem in booking like that, it can be good to explore it yourself by trying to issue the guest a special offer or preapproval. If you can issue them one of those for the dates they want, then it should be possible for them to book. If you can't, then you need to explore your settings and your calendar to make sure everything is as it should be. Double check your available settings. I have found that quite often, if I am using Chrome as a browser, if I don't clear my cache out regularly (which means, to delete your whole browsing history) then this affects the use of the AIrbnb site. Two days ago before clearing my cache, I could not do these things on the ABB site:
(1) send message to guest (2) do a review (3) update calendar (4) change listing status from listed to snooze or from snooze to listed, or edit snooze (5) make any changes to availability settings (6) edit listing in any way
That's a heck of a lot of things to not be able to do just because one hasn't deleted one's browsing history. Seems to me this shouldn't happen -- but there you go, that happens.
