Visitors to London are shunning 'fashionable' areas of the city, in favour of less swanky outer boroughs, Airbnb revealed yesterday. The data showed that the number of nights booked in outer London nearly doubled in 2015, compared to just a 78% rise in inner London. Areas that are experiencing new interest are Havering in east London, which saw a 161 % rise, Hillingdon in west London (159 %) and Barnet in the north west (140 %), with tourists opting to stay in the outskirts instead of central boroughs such as Westminster and Kensington.
