I just had a call from 415 area code, which instantly puts me on pins and needles. I was expecting either a guest issue or worse, something about my listings. Instead, it was a lovely call from a CS rep called Lita who phoned me because a guest who was supposed to stay starting tomorrow had cancelled (weeks ago, she received 100% back) with me, and had called CS about their new booking as she couldn't get in touch with the host. My cancelled guest, in conversations with the CS person, mentioned that she was sorry that she'd cancelled with me, as I was terrific to deal with and so professional, and her new host was leaving her hanging in the wind. Ha!!! She'd cancelled with me because she wanted a location closer to her auditions as she was nervous about traffic. Fair enough. So anyone the CS rep thanks me for being a great host, and tells me that she's sending me a token of appreciation in the form of a $25 voucher. How do you like that? I was most pleasantly surprised.
Added bonus - I'm not likely to book any airbnb travel in the next few months, so if I get someone nice booking for a few days, I'll offer them the code to use. Win win!

How delightful! Very sweet. Sometimes Airbnb just hands out travel gift cards like candy. I called in to CX for help on an issue once and the CX guy was sweet and congratulated me on my good reviews and gave me a $100 gift card. I have heard of others having that experience too.
