I just was checking the approval queue for New Hosts Forum, working on accepting those who are applying to be members of New HOsts Forum, and among the applicants wanting to join, I found this profile: www.airbnb.com/users/show/45517073and this listing: www.airbnb.com/rooms/8665122WHich is a 126 room hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The "Invito" hotel is listed here on BOoking.com: tinyurl.com/offd9wpInvito HotelThe same host also offers rooms in another hotel, Publika at Solaris Dutamas in Malaysia, which is an 11 room hotel. I don't like seeing large hotels on Airbnb. I don't think they belong there.

We have a number of motels who have listings on Airbnb here in San Clemente. Most of them are smaller places but it seems like its not what I visualize when I am looking for a place on Airbnb.

Right -- I think if people want a big hotel, they would not use Airbnb to find it, but Trivago or some other hotel site. Small hotels, motels and Bed and Breakfast places, I can understand those listing on Airbnb, since their offerings may be more "homey" and similar to a homestay. But in my mind, the idea of Airbnb really is a homestay or home share, and I think that is what people use the site to find.

The Motels in my town are the seedy places I would never stay. Some are chains and some are privately owned but none of them off a nice room with amenities and a guest who offers a Guidebook, special treats and flowers in the room. Some of the places don't mention they are a motel.
