Several hosts now have reported that they have not been able to make changes to the house rules on their listing -- they make the changes in the text, and then click outside the box to save as usual, and the changes do not take. One host said she called Airbnb about this and was told that this was not a problem, it's a feature, and I had trouble believing what I was reading. Cannot edit our listing and that is a FEATURE!!! Insanity.
YEt here another host is posting about the same problem. If Airbnb is doing this intentionally, this has got to be the dumbest "update" yet -- really insanity. I think all hosts who are noticing this problem need to call AIrbnb and angrily demand that we need to be able to edit our listings!! I'm particularly upset because the house rules are what I am constantly tweaking, more than any other part of my listing.
What kind of dope thinks that eliminating the ability to edit one's listing is a "feature"

House Rules Question
Good evening,
I have learned a lot from many of you on this forum and was wondering if any of you can solve my issue with updating my rules. I want to keep my rules the same but on the first line, I want to write, "Please ensure you read and agree to the following rules before booking the suite:"
I have put this in many times and it will not make the changes. Any ideas why I cannot do this. I have tried from different browsers as well. Very frustrating!

I read a post recently that someone else had trouble updating their house rules, and they called Airbnb, and AIrbnb said that isn't a problem, that's a feature, and was suggesting that they are not letting us change our house rules, which I thought was quite insane. We have to be able to edit any part of our listing! I wasn't sure if I could believe what I was reading, but now you are having the same problem and my concern grows!
I suggest that you call customer service and explain your problem and demand that you be able to make changes to your house rules or any part of your listing. It is just crazy if Airbnb is doing this intentionally. Hosts are changing things around, tweaking their listings all the time and need to continue to do so. WHat is the alternative, making a whole new listing every time you have to change a word here and there? Really if this is intentional and not some system error, this change is one of the most nonsensical things I have heard of. AIrbnb has in the past made some changes that were big mistakes and got a lot of flak over them, and changed things back again. They need to hear from upset hosts about this one!!
