Untill two weeks ago, I didn't have access to the guest's full name untill after I had accepted the reservation. But I have recently started to get this information as soon as I am contacted. I recently received a nice mail from someone wanting to book. Member since 2012 but no activity, poor photo,no bio and not verified. I began to write my usual response, " Thank-you bla bla, could you complete bla bla and tell me a little about yourself" Before sending it I decided to google the name. WOW he was everywhere, linkedin, twitter, facebook, you tube, tv and an author of several books! Needless to say I changed the mail, I would have looked foolish saying "tell me alittle about yourself, no need to write a novel!"

Hi Elaine, see this thread about this issue: globalhosting.freeforums.net/thread/233/full-name-appears-mobile-appIt's been happening for quite some time now that full names are showing up before bookings are complete. Which is why I suggest hosts edit their profile to remove your full last name from your account, so that it isn't shared with anyone who inquires. I suggest removing your last name and leaving only your last initial. Then you can put your full name in your "house manual" which is shared only with those who book.

Thank-you Deborah, I have just put an initial although it still says, "This is only shared once you have a confirmed booking with another Airbnb user."
