Airbnb is not the only corporation which has failed to deal fairly and transparently with some of its users. YouTube has been widely criticized for demoting or removing videos or whole channels without providing any explanation other than an automated email which does not really give any useful information. But now there is an organization taking on YouTube's unjust and unfair behavior, and its complete lack of transparency. A German group called "FairTube" has partnered with a major German union organizing group, and has made demands of YouTube. See here for more info: www.facebook.com/groups/youtuberunion/www.fairtube.info/en/The problem that many YouTubers have had is one which some Airbnb hosts have had as well---- that a major corporation, a platform that they use to make money, and which perhaps is their major income source, simply demotes or terminates their account, without giving them any explanation at all. This is deeply unjust and this kind of action by corporations needs to be confronted and addressed. That a group is taking on YouTube is a hopeful sign...it's possible that they could also take on other corporations which engage in the same reprehensible tactics.
