It used to be fairly simple with transgender guests...not too hard to determine which gender they were identified with and thus, what pronoun you would use in reference to them (he/his or she/hers). But now, the number of genders has greatly multiplied and there are also new "invented" pronouns being used.
Facebook for instance now has 71 gender options www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/facebook/10930654/Facebooks-71-gender-options-come-to-UK-users.html
I think most of us, wanting to be welcoming hosts, would be happy to use the pronouns he/his for anyone who identified as male, and she/hers for anyone who identified as female. But that is no longer enough, because for instance some people are identifying as "non-binary" and say that they are neither gender, and want to be referred to as "they/them", or "ze/zhem". Or even "ey/eir". There may be more invented pronouns still coming.
And what's still more complex, is that some transgender people do not consider it optional for you to use these invented pronouns, but will demand that you use their invented language. I'm curious what hosts think of that. Is that fine with you, or do you feel like this goes too far and is a violation of your own boundaries? It could well be viewed as fascistic, or tyrannical, when the "pronoun police" dictate that omeone else is able to impose their own worldview and philosophy on you, when they demand that you use invented words/language which may be at odds with your own worldview/philosophy.

This video is about how Canada is making the refusal to use invented (made-up) pronouns into a "hate crime":
I found one thread relating to this issue on Airbnb CC, but it doesn't address the issue of the invented words that are now being put forward and which some are demanding that others use for them.
