A host on another group posted about a discovery she made...how she was able to get a URL through in a message to a guest. Normally Airbnb censors these out, all websites and contact info gets blocked out prior to the guest booking the stay. WHich is normally a good thing as it can be dangerous and lead to scams for either side if the communication goes off-platform. Also URLS could lead to phishing sites.
But sometimes you as a host need to give the guest info in answer to a question they have, which may require conveying a URL.
It can be done using typing gymnastics, such as changing the word "Skype" to skyyyyyype (or skyypppppeee, something different but recognizable) but is there another way?
A host found that if you put the URL in parentheses, removing the "www" and/or "https" part, eg (xyz.com), it will go thru the messaging. So you may want to try that if you really need to get a URL across.
