Whoops! Didn't mean for you to have a stinky New Year's....
I went to clean the guest room yesterday and discovered that it smelled like a dead animal in there. I realized that a critter must have died under the floor. There is one part of the room where there's a space under the floor/house that I cannot access. So if something dies under there...well...I just have to leave it to mummify.
Fortunately there are such things as air purifiers. I already had one, a HEPA filter air purifier, and bought a second one yesterday to try to really filter out all the air in the room. ALso gave the guest some incense to use.
It seemed effective. An hour before the guest was due to arrive the room did not have a noticable odor. At least I hope the guest agrees...
What types of Air Purifier do you use, if any?
This is the one I bought because it was in the store and the shape of it is narrower, I thought it would fit better than the other one which was larger:
