Let me preface the introduction to this thread by saying that on some host community groups, it's prohibited to make any generalizations about guests based on their nationality. So some host groups dont' talk about these things. In other groups, people talk about these things, but get slapped and spanked for doing so. My view is that there is such a thing as cultural differences and cultural trends -- travelogues for instance tend to be full of observations of the "ways" of various different peoples, their habits, their beliefs, their social mores. So it makes sense to me that hosts may have some observations on these things as well.
