Airbnb is now suing the city of Miami for targeting the hosts who spoke up at a city council meeting on defense of short term rentals in that city. cbs12.com/news/local/airbnb-sues-city-of-miami-for-targeting-hosts-after-meetinThe city's actions were despicable. They are directing fives and enforcement specifically against hosts who spoke up at a public meeting-- meaning they are retaliating against people for expressing their opinions in public. This should be strictly prohibited by law as it has such a suppressive effect on the populace. In California, the Brown Act process some protections to those speaking in public as it states no one can be required to give their name , address, or even state what city they live in.
