Yes -- I found that interesting too, the police asking for proof of house rules broken. That isn't really kosher -- because police aren't supposed to be enforcing civil law. Courts enforce civil law -- police enforce criminal law. However, one can also look at this as a good reason to have detailed and complete house rules.
