I agree Deborah.. As much of a fan one might be of Semantha, this is rude and just weird.
Did she expect the host to pack up all her stuff and put it in storage to make Samantha feel like she was renting a full time space all to herself?
Hosts should certainly make space for guests belonging and not make them feel like they're intruding, but you are renting, temporarily, someone else's home and so expecting to have access to every nook and cranny is a bit presumptuous.
