Hello, I have two guests that have accepted a reservation arriving today for 8 days, it is now 11pm and the guests have not yet arrived. I have tried contacting them asking for an ETA a few times, but the last I heard was this morning they were having car trouble and not heard since. What happens in this situation? Would I still get paid even though they are not here? Many thanks, Victoria

Unless the guests cancel, you still get paid. You can decide to refund them, but that is your choice.

There is still a good chance that they show up - just with a massive delay. (I hope that this is not going to be too much stress for you then). Not Communicating or no communication for tecgnical reasons (no mobile or mobile not working) is VERY annoying and an option is to inform airbnb and ask them to reach out to them as well. If they don't show up and don't cancel THROUGH THE WEBPAGE and PROCEDURE You will receive full payment. If they cancel you receive payment according to your cancellation policy. It is up to you to offer a refund other than the given one, to show Goodwill or understanding of special situation which might have occured.

Thanks guys, they did get in touch this morning saying they had car trouble and should be here today. They are my third guests, so I am quite worried and not sure what the procedures are. Thank you for your comments! Victoria

That sounds good so far! Express your concerns about them ( having an accidental or medical issue etc.) and relief that they finally arrived. A good tea / coffe or Drink will put back everything on Track then.
