Question!
I have a question; I am suppose to have a couple checking in today at 13.00 but they haven't showed up or contact me and now it's 18.00. I have tried to contact the quest but no response, can I leave the keys outside the door or do I have to wait for them?

If it were me, I will wait for the guests at this point, you should initiate the communication process and let them know that you are expecting them.

As I see it, it is the guest's responsibility to communicate with you if they miss their scheduled check in time, not yours to spend a lot of work trying to accomodate them. So, if I were you I would send them one more message and put a note on your door with your contact info (email, phone number) and telling them what time you will be back, and letting them know that since they were 5 hours late and failed to communicate with you when you tried to reach them, you were unable to wait for them any longer and that now they will have to wait for you. And then, let them wait for you.

Thank you! I have sent my number and the address but still no response. Also tried to call, I have now left the keys under the door. The thing is that I am
Leaving tomorrow for vacation and really would like them to arrive before that.

I would think it quite unusual if they were to arrive a whole day late, but possible. Do you have a friend who would be willing to help you, if they don't arrive today, and dont' arrive by the time you have to leave for vacation? If it were me, I wouldn't want to leave keys out indefinitely when I don't know if the guests are even going to come at all. You could message the guests with contact information for a friend, who they could call to let them in and show them around. These are the kinds of things one does well to have planned in advance -- friends and neighbors to help out in such situations.

Personally, i would send a message that you won't be available after x time to check them in. After that time they will need to cancel their reservation and find a different place to stay. I routinely leave keys and let people check themselves in but in this case with such a lack of communication I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving keys while I was gone on vacation. You might also contact CX and see what their advice is.

Definitely call/send a message. I can see that can be an inconvenience if you have somewhere to go/be.
