VERY VERY FURIOUS...airbnb forbidden in Belgium

Apparently the "circle is closing", guys, local governments in many countries, disrespecting one's privacy, are heavily controlling people who offer accommodation to tourists. Very infuriating.

Anybody can explain me the local laws in The Hague? Are we still allowed to host and do we need to do or declare anything? Your answers will be much appreciated...

it basically says that you have to pay roughly 420 eur for an authorization. it doesn't say for how long that is valid or any further details

Thanks Alex!
Please correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the link that you posted is more about renting the rooms for longer terms (months)? I am renting my room sporadically for a maximum of 5 nights only. Do I need to pay for the authorization too?

to be honest with you, i also don't get it.
i would send an email to the gemeente to question what this permission is for.
from looking at amsterdam's group, i know they have some sort of tourist tax. but in the hague that (gladly, and i don't know for how long the gemeente will keep their hands off our business) still doesn't exist. on a high season, you might be lucky and offset those 420 in 2 or so months, so it's worth doing stuff "by the book", if it's a once-off thing. if it's an yearly amount, however... :-O
