Bachelor party at our home? Think NOT!
So a guy from Milwuakee, this is where we live, once contacted me: " Hi, we are looking at your place, it looks great, I am the best man for my friends wedding and we are planning a bachelor party, we ate not into the whole going to a strip club, so we figured we would rent a house instead so we dont make a mess in mine. We would have about 8 guys, saturday might be loud but we promise we will clean up the next day and like nothing ever happened"
My response: this is my HOME and the fact that you asked me this is so insulting, no money you could pay me to even begin to consider it. Some people....
Reply What a dimwit, he actually said, "we figured we would rent a house so we don't make a mess in mine."? And he thinks someone is really going to rent to him? Dim, dim, dimmmm, dummmmmmb!!
Reply I know ridiculous. Airbnb should put a stop from these people that belong on Craigslist not Airbnb
Reply Astounding! Doesn't trust his closest friends not to mess up his place so wants to risk yours! These anecdotes are a consistent theme where people want to rent others homes to hold birthday & stag/hen dos in & sleep over to avoid (over priced) venue rentals - can't blame them for asking but hefty deposit & premium rate should be charged. I've had guests stay & invite over local friends. But whilst day time or early eve drinks for an hour before going out for eve is fine by me - if they were in all eve & had a drinks party I'd curtail it or take cash deposit & payment per person & limit number of guests.
Reply No.............. and Nooooooo!
