From another host:
Children as extra people - Here is my wording
I see lots of questions about people trying to sneak children in etc. I believe it's totally up to the host if they want to take children and they shouldn't need to it they don't want them! I personally like hosting children but i can understand how other hosts would not want them. Here is my wording which is really clear on my listing and I don't have anybody trying to sneak in children or not pay for extras now. You can steal my wording if you want or adapt it, i don't mind. I would NOT mention the extra person fee in dollars in the listing as with currency fluctuating so much it will not make much sense if a person is using another currency to book, just refer them to your extra charge fee. Also I would NEVER take a reservation for a baby if i didn't have a safe bed for them. If a baby falls off a bed and wasn't supplied a standard to your country bedding i think you could be a law suit waiting to happen! I don't care if they do co-sleep but i always make up an Australian standard bed (cot) for a baby regardless of how they chose to sleep. Here is my wording anyway. * Children 2 years and over are considered to be an extra person and will be charged as extras so please do your enquiry with the correct number of people. Please let me know if you would like a cot (with sides) or a little bed (with no sides) made up for your child/children. * Maximum occupancy is 4 people due to local regulations and this is not negotiable (including infants)
I hope this helps.
