What to do when someone wets the bed
I had a mom and daughter stay with me for one night (daughter was about 8 years old). They both slept in the same bed as I only have 1 bed. When they left in the morning, I stripped the bed and noticed the fitted sheet was wet. At first I thought they may placed a wet towel on the bed but when I looked more closely and then checked the mattress pad it was wet too and yellow. I was lucky that I found it early enough that it didn't stain the mattress.
Need some help as to how to handle this as the mother indicated she would like to book my place in the future. I haven't done s review yet either as I don't know if I should mention so other hosts are aware. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

You can purchase a waterproof mattress pad. They can be washed. It is recommended regardless as other stains can get on the mattress. This protects your mattress for long term usage.

Thanks Leslie. My question is more around, is it ok to message the guest about the issue of not letting me know. I would have been totally understanding if they told me but they covered it up, literally with the other sheets and duvet.

I would mention it in a private message. They should have told you, but they were probably embarrassed . Communicate with them and find out if this is a regular thing or an accident.

The first thing I did when I set up my rooms was to buy a mattress protector. It was well worth it! Mattresses are just too expensive to replace.
