I started hosting over 3 years ago and remembered those good old days when you could pick up the phone, dial Airbnb, and a nice, helpful customer rep would answer any questions you had. Fast forward to this morning: I had 2 things I needed help with. Now, I normally would check on my own first, or check the forums, before I had to call them, just because I don't want to flood them with unnecessary questions. However, the first person I spoke with, was far from being helpful. I hung up, called another one. The same thing. They both spoke with me as if they had better thing to do than spending any minute with me and if I was bugging them.
Oh and the second CX rep 'accused' me of having 2 accounts and he said I was only allowed to have one account. Well, I know I have only ONE account, so not even sure what he was talking about. But he insisted so, in a scolding way, as if he was the principal and I was new student. And honestly, I had a bit of paranoia going on at that point if they'd just shut my account like they did to a few of NYC hosts, just because they make a mistake.
Does anyone else experience what I just did? Has Airbnb changed that much that we don't matter to them at all anymore?

HI Lambada I haven't had a customer service person who was unhelpful -- in the sense of not only not helping me but scolding me --- I have had the experience of calling in and being unable to get the issue resolved that I called about, but usually it does get resolved eventually, if I follow up.

Thanks, Deborah. I'm glad to hear that you didn't have the same experience so I hope it was just my unfortunate moment. so at least I could get better experiences the next time, hopefully.
